calling all bloggers...calling all bloggers

Step right up and make a bet. Jon Reid will be visiting us at the Bridge this sunday night and I am taking bets. Last time he came to the Bridge he said the "V" word, if you don't know what that is then join the converstaion. I am taking bets on what he will say/do this sunday night. Jon my "look" like a simple man (by simple I mean nothing negative, simple as the opposite of flashy), but don't let that fool you. He is one freakn deep thinker, believe me you. If you haven't read his blog then you are missing out. Step right up, step right. Make sure you place you bets.....

blast from the past

When I was younger I lived in Redondo Beach...2105 Pullman Lane. I had two really good friends, Fernando Chumentowski and Timothy Stewart. We had the best of time. We did alot together, we went camping, had sleepovers, learned how to skateboard. We used to play basketball on our bikes...and got our pic in the paper for doing so. We shared alot of life, until I had to move to my dads. This post is an attempt to find them. After years of searching I actually ran into Tim Stewart @ Disneyland last year. It was a really weird thing, seeing as I have been praying for a reuniting for almost 10 years. We exchanged numbers and talked a few time, my cell phone went down...I didn't record the number in another place. and we haven't talked since. I think he has my number, but I think he is scared to call me. Reason being is that I was a mormon last time I knew him...and I think that he thinks that I still am one. Anywho I am hoping that when google searches my site that it will find his name. Then I am hoping that Fernando gets curious, like we all do. and do a search on his name....and find me. That would be cool. Thank God for google...in advance.

who are you ?

ok someone from Adobe visits this site quite often...who are you ? I am curious....come on out...join the party....its really fun...

8 days and counting til I get my first tat from Sid. The tat keeps changing, well at least in my head. The basic elements are the same but the arrangment changes. I am really excited, I have wanted this tat for a few year...now I am freed up to get it, in more ways than one. My inspiration is based on Isaiah 6 where Isaiah is in the temple and God shows up, it is also ( in my mind) the same picture from Rev.4. 1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory." At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. Basically it includes the hebrew word radaph, whick means pursuit, to chase after. The elemnts of the picture are a part of the robe...like the bottom corner ( that in my mind Christ was wearing when "the train of his robe filled the temple".) Part of a seraphs wing... once again part of the bottom corner. And then smoke "that filled the temple." after the angels cried, "holy, holy, holy." The thing is that the design keeps changing in my head...and I only have a week to decide. The good thing is that I have seen enough of Sids tats to trust his artistic gifts to help me decide what is best... Anyways I will post some pics next Sunday or Monday and let you see my ink.

the best movie I almost never saw

Lets be honest...Drew Barrymore's best movie was E.T. til now. I have always had a hard time dealing with her popularity, shes like a thorn in my side. A young woman that can't act here way out of a paper bag make millions, only in hollywood. Well because of this I have said away from her movies like the plague...So I can't tell you the reason behind renting this movie, maybe it was because I always get the movies I want...with little consideration for what Stacy wants to watch ( she falls asleep 15 minutes into most movies anyways.) Maybe it's because they have a killer deal at the local movie rental place... 5 DVD's for 5 days for $5.55. I am not sure. But anyways, last night Stacy and I settled into watch, what I thought was to be, another boring movie about a girl who has nothing, but because of some twist of fate ends up with the right guy, a bunch of money, and is suddenly very popular in her small town. WAS I WRONG. Though this movie wasn't the best I've ever seen, I was taken aback at the content and richness of the dramatic elements of this film. The movie was about a girl that got pregnant at 15, get married for the wrong reasons, her father forces her...and has to live the life that she never wanted. This was a great movie that really grabs your heart and throws you into the story. I would say, "Go see this movie when you get a chance, just be willing to cry a little bit."
